What is Leadership Giving?
At the core of every communty are leaders whose caring and personal leadership set the course for others.
In our community, generous and caring individuals are partnering with United Way to change lives and build community.
You can have the greatest impact on issues you care about by working with United Way of West Georgia as your philanthropic advisor.
As a leadership giver, you can combine public purpose with private giving to make strategic investments in the areas of Education, Basic Needs, and Health.
Because United Way only funds programs with proven methods that match our community’s needs, you can be assured that your investment is really making a difference.
Community Builders Leadership Giving Society recognition levels will include:
Cornerstone Level - $500 - $999
The Cornerstone is the first stone set in the construction of a masonry foundation. All other stones will be set in reference to this stone, thus determining the position of the entire structure.
Column Level - $1,000 - $2,499
The Column – an upright pillar, typically cylindrical and made of stone or concrete, supporting an arch, or other structure or standing alone as a monument.
Arch Level - $2,500 – 4,999
The Arch – a curved symmetrical structure spanning an opening and typically supporting the weight of a bridge, roof, or wall above it.
Keystone Level - $5,000 – $9,999
The Keystone is the most important stone, and that’s why this word is also used figuratively to mean the most important part of anything. A stone arch or vault gains its stability from the placement of the keystone, which is often the last one placed.
Alexis de Tocqueville Society - $10,000 - $1,000,000
The Tocqueville Society recognizes local philanthropic leaders and volunteer champions in the United States, France and Romania who have devoted time, talent, and funds to create long-lasting changes by tackling our communities’ most serious issues. The Society recognizes annual gifts of $10,000 or more.
