Individual Giving

Every Gift is Important

The United Way of West Georgia is dedicated to improving lives for all who live in West Georgia, but that would not be possible without the contributions and support of people like you. Every contribution to the United Way of West Georgia is important to the work we do. The truly wonderful thing is that every contribution we receive, no matter how large or small, is added to every other contribution to create the impact that we are able to achieve in the West Georgia Community.

Ways to Give

You can donate through your employer at your workplace through payroll deduction.

You can write a Check to United Way of West Georgia and mail to P.O. Box 532 / LaGrange, GA 30241.

You can contact us at 706-884-8292 to find out how to give a gift of stock.

Leadership Giving

In 2021, the United Way of West Georgia restructured its Leadership Giving Society to announce the Community Builders Leadership Giving Society which recognizes annual gifts to the United Way of West Georgia that are between $500 and $9,999. Annual gifts of $10,000 – $1,000,000 are recognized by the Alexis de Tocqueville Society. More information will be coming on this new Society as the 2020 campaign gets underway. Any woman who by herself, in conjunction with her spouse or through a contribution of her spouse gives at the leadership level is eligible to participate with the Magnolia Society.

Community Builders Leadership Giving Society recognition levels will include:

Cornerstone Level - $500 - $999

The Cornerstone is the first stone set in the construction of a masonry foundation. All other stones will be set in reference to this stone, thus determining the position of the entire structure.

Column Level - $1,000 - $2,499

The Column – an upright pillar, typically cylindrical and made of stone or concrete, supporting an arch, or other structure or standing alone as a monument.

Arch Level - $2,500 – 4,999

The Arch – a curved symmetrical structure spanning an opening and typically supporting the weight of a bridge, roof, or wall above it.

Keystone Level - $5,000 – $9,999

The Keystone is the most important stone, and that’s why this word is also used figuratively to mean the most important part of anything. A stone arch or vault gains its stability from the placement of the keystone, which is often the last one placed.

Alexis de Tocqueville Society - $10,000 - $1,000,000

The Tocqueville Society recognizes local philanthropic leaders and volunteer champions in the United States, France and Romania who have devoted time, talent, and funds to create long-lasting changes by tackling our communities’ most serious issues. The Society recognizes annual gifts of $10,000 or more.
